This article presents the results of phytochemical study and practical application as anthelmintic, antimalarial, antitumor, antiatherosclerotic agents in medicine and biological tests of growth-regulating, mutagenic, antiparasitic and insecticidal activity in cotton growing, sericulture, rice growing, as well as against termites of a number of environmentally safe individual sesquiterpene lactones and the sum of lactones isolated from the aerial parts of plants of the genus Artemisia and Jurinea of the Asteraceae family growing in Uzbekistan.
